Agreement

These terms govern your use of motoinsite.com, operated by the company named, with its postal address, at the foot of this page (“we”, “us”). By using the site, or by buying a report, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

What MOTO(insite) is — and is not

MOTO(insite) publishes information about vehicles and links to offers from other companies. We are not a dealer, a lender, an insurance company, an insurance agent or broker, a warranty or service-contract provider, or a consumer reporting agency. We do not sell insurance or service contracts, and nothing on the site is insurance, legal, financial or mechanical advice.

Vehicle information and valuations

Specifications, prices, equipment, colors, photos, recall data and market figures come from manufacturers, data providers and public sources. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and a vehicle’s actual equipment can differ from what we show. Photos may show a different trim or model year; when they do, we say so. Always confirm details with the seller or dealer.

Valuations and price ranges are estimates for information only. They are not an offer to buy or sell a vehicle and not a guarantee of what anyone will pay.

AI-generated content

Some vehicle descriptions, summaries and pros and cons on this site are drafted with artificial intelligence from the vehicle data shown on the same page. Before publication they are checked automatically against that data and approved by our team in batches; they are not reviewed line by line by a person. They can still contain mistakes, and they are not professional advice. Facts such as prices, specifications, warranty terms and recalls come from our data sources, not from AI.

Insurance offers

Insurance offers on this site are advertisements provided through MediaAlpha’s marketplace by insurance companies and licensed agencies in its network. We are paid when you click an offer. We do not represent any insurer, we do not compare every company in the market, and the order of offers reflects the marketplace, not our recommendation.

Quotes, coverage, eligibility and prices are set by the insurer or agency, which may ask for more information and may use information such as driving and claims history or, where the law allows, a credit-based insurance score. Your dealings with an insurer are governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Vehicle service contracts (“extended warranties”)

The plans we show are vehicle service contracts, often called extended warranties, offered by third-party providers and sold through our partner Chaiz. They are not manufacturer warranties and are not provided by us. Coverage, exclusions, deductibles, waiting periods, cancellation and refund rights are set by each contract, which you should read before you buy; plans are not available in every state.

Plan labels and ratings (such as “lowest price” or star ratings) come from our partner and its providers. Purchases are completed on Chaiz’s checkout under its terms and the provider’s contract. We may be paid when you buy.

Vehicle history reports

Reports are compiled from data supplied by our provider, including data from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) through an approved data provider, and from other sources. No report includes every event in a vehicle’s life: NMVTIS does not hold data on every vehicle or from every state, damage is only recorded if it was reported, and a reported brand such as salvage or flood does not by itself describe the vehicle’s condition. A report is not a substitute for an inspection by a qualified mechanic.

The free report shows a limited summary. It unlocks when you open one insurance offer (or without one if no offers are available), subject to daily limits. The full report is a one-time purchase of the price shown at checkout, delivered as a PDF by email; there is no subscription. If your report does not arrive or something in it looks wrong, email us and we will help. Purchases are final, except where the law gives you other rights.

Emails

If you sign up for the value tracker, we email you about your vehicle about once a month, including its estimated value when one is available. These emails may include offers we are paid for. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of them.

Acceptable use

Do not copy or scrape the site with automated tools, overload or interfere with it, try to get around limits such as those on free reports, enter information you are not entitled to use, or use the site for anything unlawful.

Our content

The site, its text, design and data compilations belong to us or our licensors, including our vehicle image and data providers. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use needs our written permission.

Links to other websites

We link to other companies’ websites, including insurers, our warranty partner and Stripe. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products, prices or practices.

Disclaimers

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or of any third party’s products or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

Disputes and governing law

Before starting any claim, please email support@motoinsite.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date; continuing to use the site after that date means you accept it.
